Birthday celebrations
Whether you’re celebrating an 18th, 30th or even a 90th, The Quarry has seen it all! The big house is a great place to get everyone together, and the huge dining table is a great place to host a special dinner – which can all be cooked in the wonderfully equipped and spacious kitchen. Alternatively, you could always get our caterers involved – don’t forget to ask for one of their delicious birthday cakes!
The house comfortably sleeps 13 guests, but if your party is bigger than this, there are some fabulous B&B’s located just a stone’s throw away.
Weddings
The Quarry is perfectly situated for wedding parties, and is located just a 5-minute walk away from the wonderful Tunnels Beaches – which is home to one of the most beautiful purpose-built beachside wedding venues. Built into the cliffs, and looking straight out to sea, it really does help make your special day that extra bit special.
If you’ve booked the Tunnels for your wedding, there really is no better place to stay than The Quarry. Its location is perfect, with a quick and easy walk to the venue, but far enough away that you’ll have peace and quiet before the big day.
In addition, the house is large enough to accommodate the bride and groom, and any close family they wish to have stay with them. We also have two wonderful caterers who are on hand to fill the fridge with delicious local food before your arrival, or if you wish, to prepare and serve a special meal, or breakfast, before your upcoming nuptials.
Family reunions
The Quarry is perfect for families of all sizes and ages, with a wonderful garden for the children to enjoy and have adventures in, or the peaceful vine room for adults to relax in – there truly is something for everyone.
Whether you’re celebrating a big event, or just want to have some family time, The Quarry can provide the perfect setting. There are a range of local shops, deli’s, pubs, and restaurants for the family to enjoy, or alternatively you can take advantage of our caterers and have them cook you a family feast.
In addition, Ilfracombe's pretty harbour is just a 15-minute walk away, and the South West Coastal path starts right outside the back gate.
Hen weekends

The Quarry is perfectly situated for a range of activities, both on the grounds, and off of them. Whether you’re wanting a relaxed hen party or one filled with activities. There are surf schools, yoga studios, and even mobile beauticians who can come and pamper your party. There's so many things to do and see, and we're very happy to give help and advice if you're the organiser.
