Barricane Beach Café

Barricane Beach, or 'Shell Beach’, is a secluded cove in Woolacombe. In the evening the small beach cafe (right on the sand) serves delicious homemade Sri-Lankan curries. Take a picnic rug and a bottle of wine (its unlicensed) and watch the sunset whilst enjoying a selection plate of authentic food. Turn up early (about 6pm) to put your order in. 

Whilst you're waiting pop in the sea for a quick swim! There are a few tables, but most people eat on the beach. Not open in bad weather, evening food usually starts weekends in May / June and then most nights in peak season. No bookings - just turn up at the beach early. It’s a 10 min drive to Woolacombe from The Quarry.
